Embrace the Van Life Journey

Join me as I navigate the challenges of balancing a full time job in the office, raising my son and looking for adventure while living in a van. We love exploring the great outdoors and learning our place in this life, blending adventure with old school family values.

Our Family Adventures

Our family adventures show what matters most to us. We want to live life fully, try hard things, and stay close as a family. Each trip reminds us how beautiful nature is and how fun it is to explore. Along the way we learn new things and make memories that will help shape my son’s character and how he sees the world.

At the end of the day, it’s about family, adventure, and enjoying the journey together. And we’re looking forward to many more great trips ahead.

Balancing Work and Family Life

Balancing a hectic schedule filled with work, parenting, and the many demands of daily life is a constant challenge—but it also creates incredible opportunities to grow. I’m a father, van lifer, and someone who values self-reliance, curiosity, and respect. Every day brings new lessons, whether it’s managing responsibilities, keeping up with my energetic son, or navigating life’s unexpected twists and turns.

Through it all, I strive to embrace each moment as a chance to learn and grow. Life isn’t just about the big milestones—it’s about balancing the small and large moments, finding meaning in the everyday struggle, and turning even chaotic days into opportunities for connection, reflection, and growth. This space is where I share insights and experiences from our daily life, hoping to inspire others to live intentionally, embrace challenges, and find balance in their own journeys.

The Van, The Lift, the Machine

Initially, I was looking for a place to live where I didn’t have to depend on a roommate or a landlord and live life on my own terms, I decided van life. With an unknown amount of time and limited research I purchased a Ram Promaster 2500 high roof cargo van and got to work. Luckily I had some friends with enough expertise to guide me through some of the more complicated areas and figured the rest out on my own. Over the past three years I’ve made some modifications based on insights learned from living in a van and have been dreaming about Van 2.0. I’ll be sharing lessons learned, plans and lower level details, including conversations and interactions via Patreon. I hope you join the community, follow the journey and get involved in the project.
